WOW! (Word on Wednesday)

Click to Register for Wednesday Education

Education for ALL ages is held at Calvary Lutheran Church on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm beginning Wednesday, September 12, 2018.

The core focus of education at Calvary is knowledge of the Bible (Biblical literacy) and how our understanding of the Bible connects to what it means to be a Christian (catechism) and how to live out our Christian faith in daily life (discipleship).

Classes are available for:

  • Early childhood
  • Elementary (K-5)
  • Confirmation (6-8)
  • Youth (9-12)
  • Adult

You may register your child for our Sunday School Program by using the online registration link above. If you have questions, please call the church office at (952) 941-1251 or email our Administrator Susan Burman@calvaryedina.org.

Calvary Education Mission Project

Each year our education program participants adopt a mission project to support. We get to practice putting God's Word into action, and learn how our generous stewardship of God's gifts can make a difference in the lives of others.

In 2017-2018, we raised funds for Feed My Starving Children, which we hand-delivered at a food-packing event, then then raised funds for Tapestry, a bi-lingual Lutheran congregation in Richfield, with whom we also went and worshipped on Sunday evening.

Past projects have included purchasing needed items for our local foodshelf, VEAP; purchasing community gardens, irrigation systems, animals and an orchards ELCA Global Barnyard; ELCA Malaria Net Fund; Lutheran World Relief Clean Water Project; a local inner city Latino congregation; and Infant Kits for Global Health Ministries.
